Adrienne E. Lee is a nom de plume, crafted from the names of departed family, for whom my love of reading and writing and poetry were inspired. An aunt - taken young, who lived on in the works of a father. A grandfather - a poet, an editor who left a mark on the PNW, a colleague to writers big and small - who lost his mind in demented drips. An aunt - gone in what should have been the prime of her life, scraping together the legacy and passing on what she could to the next generation.
Family is complicated, I cannot deny, but the love for words still burns.
Who am I behind the name? A queer Portlandian who has always been more clever and articulate in ink than voice, except perhaps when singing. While not extensibly well-practiced to the more formalized path of authorship, weaving words together has been a long-time cherished craft. I wish to devote more time to the art form, if only my many passion projects and growing TBR pile weren't keeping me so preoccupied.
